Did you shop around the "Hong Kong Department Store"?

The “Hong Kong Department Store”, a new project that Alan supported for the young designers in Hong Kong, just ended its first exhibition in the end. HKDS is curated by Gallery 27, founded and consulted by Alan Chan with the design team MIRO took place at Space 27. At the exhibition, there were over 16 participated brands and more than 10 workshops, sharing, live music performances as well as talks among Alan and a group of young designers. This is a start point of a creative journey, hence will be extending to a long-term platform to support the young design talents in order to demonstrate and display the variety and quality of Hong Kong designs. Capture the Best Japan

“Capture the Best Japan” is a photo contest in which people from all over the world were invited to take part and it has received 17,104 submissions in total. 52 of the best works are selected to be shown at a special site here in Hong Kong. The photos range in subject matter from nature to culture to food and include scenes from Ise-Shima, site of the G7 2016 Summit. “Capture the Best Japan G7 JAPAN 2016 Ise-Shima Photo Exhibition” co-organised by the Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong and Gallery 27, is curatorial consulted by the Creative Director Alan Chan of Alan Chan Design Company and the founder of Gallery 27, showcasing a collection of 52 best works among the many entries in a contest that was held in Japan with the same title.
